Back to School. and Mystery Hostess

Well, school starts for me tomorrow. I'm not too excited, but it won't be bad. I actually like college. :) So, as kind of a celebration, I decided to post a cute tag that would be perfect for teachers!

This inspire tag looks super cute with some accent color dangles and a key. It would be super cute to add the school colors.

So, for anyone headed back to school soon, or already in school, I hope your year is great whether you're a student, teacher, or another employee.

On another note, I'm having a september mystery hostess party! For every $25 dollars you spend, you will be entered to win the hostess rewards! Don't miss your chance for free jewelry! Good luck!

My First Booking

I'm so excited! I got my first booking today! Want to book a party with me too? Check out the rewards page then email me to get started! :)

Convention Freebies and Fall Product Sneak Peek

I found out that I could fast track the wait list for becoming a designer if I went to the first ever O2 Convention. I convinced my mom to sign up and go with me because I didn't know anyone yet and was nervous to attend alone. We signed up that night!

After getting to the convention, I never would of thought it would be so much fun! We met ladies from so many different places and got such great advise from the leaders that started Origami Owl.

The first day, we went to register early. After driving around the block four times (because mom didn't want to pay $12 for parking) we finally gave in to the ridiculous price and parked. We checked out where everything was going to be and headed to the registration table.

After getting checked in, we went to the exclusive convention store and ended up spending more than we should have. We gave in to the cute shirt, the pajama pants, and the adorable water bottle, but we also bought some supplies that would help our businesses. Then, we headed home and were super excited for the next two days to come.

The next morning, we listened to Bella's story and the journey the company took to get where it is today. Then, they gave us our first giveaway, a convention exclusive charm. Soon, we learned that the phrase "EVERYBODY GETS ONE!" would be our favorite.

We went to lunch and came back to continue the general sessions. We listened to leaders speak and got our first fall product preview. First, new dangles. We all got the sliver heart lock with crystals, the gold heart lock, the gold wings, and a sliver four leaf clover in giveaways. Then they announced the link locket bracelet! I'm so excited for this one. They gave everybody prototypes of this one. Finally, the link locket over the heart necklace.

Next, we heard the story of a four year old who had cancer and one wish, to meet Bella. Bella wrote her a song and sang it to us. She then presented the girl with a miracle charm that we all got as well.

They ended the day with a towel giveaway after announcing that the incentive trip will be to Cabo, Mexico.

The next morning, we listened to some more motivational speeches, including Rachel Cruize, and had another fall product reveal. Charms are to include: new purse, shoe, music note, knitting, golf hole and ball, golf bag, smart phone, omg bubble, pumpkin, dolphin, hope, and angel. And brand new to Origami Owl, are window plates. They are including a cross, heart key, heart, and love.

After announcing the last of the new product, they gave us some as well!

We then went to breakout training sessions and headed home. Below is Mom and I waiting for the second day to start.

The Start of my Adventure

A little less than a month ago, my mom announced she was going to have an Origami Owl party. After wondering what exactly that meant, she sent me a picture of her locket she had just purchased at her friend's party.

I was immediately hooked! I had seen these before and never really knew what they were, but I really liked them. I was so excited for the party and looked at charms and lockets to get ideas for my own locket until the day of the party.

I picked my charms around the important things in my life so that it would tell my story. I started with the four leaf clover charm. This one was to represent the four years that I spent in 4-H. I loved raising animals, meeting friends, and spending time with my family. I'm too old to be a part of 4-H now, but I still wish I could be in the wonderful organization. Next, I added the sister heart charm. My sister means the world to me and she is one of my best friends. My third charm, was the baseball. When I was little, my dad would always take me to the D-backs games. It was one of my favorite things to do, and still is! Now I go with my boyfriend, who played ball through little league and high school, more often then my dad. But on occasion, Dad gets to go too. The next charm I added was the dog bone. This was to represent my puppy Sadie. Sadie is one and a half. She's an Australian Shepherd who is FULL of energy. My second to last charm was the music note. This is in here just because I love listening to music. Last but not least, I added the yellow awareness ribbon. When it comes to these ribbons, they can represent a lot of different things. For me, it represents childhood cancer. This is for two reasons. The first is because my boyfriend has kidney cancer when he was only two. The second is for the program he introduced me to. I volunteer to help children who have had or have cancer with Outdoor Experience 4 All. Here is my first locket:

After picking my locket and chain, I knew that this was something I wanted to do. I immediately signed up to be a designer and as of today I'm officially starting! :)
